High Tech Ingredients to know:
Nano-technology- Nano ingredients really refers to the size of the treatment particles, these are extra small for better absorption into the skin. So some companies are now touting nanocolloids or nano technology to suggest that their products get into the skin better for more effective results. This is only cosmetic, not a drug, so the effects can only be so much.
Peptides – short chain amino acids, the building blocks of protein. They help support collagen to encourage younger looking skin.
Retinol – Vitamin A, highly effective anti-aging ingredient, can be too strong for many skin types. Over the counter varities are generally safe, but follow package instructions. Stronger variations are available from dermatologists under their professional care.
Hyaluronic Acid – Highly effective hydrator. Attracts and retains up to 1000 times its weight in moisture, making it an excellent moisturizing ingredient. Skin care products containing this substance are often used in conjunction with vitamin C products to assist in effective penetration. Hyaluronic acid is often touted for its ability to "reverse" or stop aging. In news reports, you might have heard of hyaluronic acid as the "key to the fountain of youth." This is because the substance occurs naturally (and quite abundantly) in humans and animals, and is abundantly found in young skin. Skin care products with hyaluronic acid are most frequently used to treat wrinkled skin.
Matrixyl 3000 -- was designed to promote collagen production while strengthening the essential structure of skin tissue. Matrixyl 3000 remarkably encourages skin tissue to restore itself to a more youthful strength while promoting deep tissue repair.
Copper peptide - is often referred to as the most effective skin regeneration product, even though it's only been on the market since 1997. Here's why: Studies have shown that copper peptide promotes collagen and elastin production, and also acts as an antioxidant. Studies have also shown that copper-dependent enzymes increase the benefits of the body's natural tissue building processes. They say that the substance helps firm, smooth and soften the skin, quicker than most other anti-aging skin care products.
